A Professional Perspective
Diane Pulzello, BSN RN
Diane is a R.N. with a B.S.N. in nursing and 35+ years experience in Alternative/Integrative Medicine and more specifically, in the use of Colon Hydrotherapy as part of a balanced approach to gut health and wellbeing. Diane offers the unique perspective of having been trained by one of the originators and pioneers of the colon hydrotherapy modality in New York City as well as being raised in a family that embraced alternative modalities and remedies long before they were fashionable.
Having a traditional medical education and traditional medical career followed by many years of professional practice, in what often seemed opposing approaches to healing and providing healthcare, Diane has a unique perspective that includes the best of both worlds. Diane sees how both worlds can be combined and work together to ensure a proactive, proven, and safe set of practice standards to guide and inform wellbeing.
Diane has had her own hands-on practice and consultancy as well as consistent collaborations with others in fitness, nutrition and colon hydrotherapy therapy practices in New York City over the years. The main focus of Diane’s continued work in this field has been to carry forward and help maintain the Essential ‘Standard of Care’ that is necessary for safe practice in the field that often gets lost in the translation of practice from one generation to another.
Colon Hydrotherapy
Colon hydrotherapy is a gentle, water‑based method that supports your body’s natural elimination process, with roots reaching back to ancient Egyptian and Greek traditions
Today, it’s offered in modern wellness settings as a comfort‑focused way to encourage internal balance. People often explore it when they feel bloated, irregular, heavy, or simply “off,” and many fold it into a broader routine of mindful eating, hydration, movement, and stress reduction. It’s not meant to replace medical care —just to complement it by helping you reconnect with your digestive rhythms .
Sessions follow strict hygiene and safety standards and are guided by trained practitioners who prioritize comfort, privacy, and clear communication.
As part of a holistic approach to well‑being, colon hydrotherapy can help you feel supported, informed, and more engaged in your wellness journey.
